Happy November Friends,
Wow can you believe it’s November already? It sure doesn’t seem
like it here in the Midwest, we are still having nice weather.
I’m glad I don’t live in Colorado though our friends tell me
they got the big “S” word there already. Well grab your coffee
and a snack and make yourself comfy, we have a lot of news to
share this month.

Join me in giving a warm welcome to all our new friends. Thank
you for joining us and if we can improve your online experience,
just let us know. Request are always welcome.
Our friends, Birds of a Feather, have decided to put their birds
to rest in league heaven. We are sad and hate to see any league
close their doors however, we are thrilled to have a few of
their friends join us. Welcome all from Birds, we are happy to
have you as a part of our family.
Also, give a warm welcome to Erie to our staff. He comes to us
with lots of experience and even more humor. You can find him
hanging out in Pool so visit him often and request a tourney. If
you like Pool or Pogo Bowl, add him to your yahoo
(eriepiranha2001).
Welcome Back Kev! Kevin has been working like a dog all summer
long and now it’s time for him to come home and hibernate with
his TrueGoldFriends for the winter. We missed you and glad to
have you back with us. We were running out of people to pick on.

Your responses and your participation help us to decide. If we
can’t get enough players to play in what seems to be a favorite

We also asked you which games you would like us to add. Some of
the games you requested, we had played at one time and just
didn’t have enough interest. Some time in the future, we will
schedule a day to play all the games we don’t normally play.
Right now we are down 7 TD’s so if we ever get back to normal,
we will plan a special games day for you once a month.
The games that you requested us to host more in are Monopoly
Slots and Pool. We will try to accommodate you as time allows.
One concern that someone had is too many token games on
weekends. We are trying to host more “faster” tourneys for you
and add a token count game in between. Be patient with us and we
will try to make all happy.
We also asked how we can improve and the responses were very
favorable. Thank you for that. We really do love to host for you
and we really do love everyone and try hard to please everyone.
However, there were a couple concerns listed that I would like
to address. One I would like to address personally regarding
scoring but there was no name on it so please contact me to
discuss that. The other concern is start time. We
all know what it’s like to be on time for a tourney and wait for
someone to get there or wait on someone to load. Seems the major
complaint is not starting on time. We sincerely apologize to all
and hope you will give us a chance to improve in this area. From
now on we will no longer than 5 after start time. If you are not
there, we will REMOVE you from the tourney. We are
trying to be fair to all.
We put up another survey to find out what your favorite games
are. If you haven’t done so already, please fill it out for us.

you like and to make sure you know about it.

TOC (Tournament of Champions) is an invite only tourney
for the previous month’s winners. Usually there’s 3 or 4 a month
in different games to accommodate all.
Rank Day is every Friday this month. This is a fast way
to jump up the league ladder fast.
Peek-a-Boo aka follow the host is a 5 Round Swiss played
in 5 different games and is hosted by BoredRoomMom once a month.
Birthday Bash is hosted by Brend to celebrate all our
friend’s birthdays for the month.
Lucky 8 is any tourney hosted by Lucky with 8 or more
friends in it the winner will receive 1000 bux.
Weakest Link Badge Book Lottso is a 6-9 round true swiss
tourney hosted by Lucky. One friend is eliminated every round
till we have a winner. The winner will receive a badge book of
your choice.
Trivia Lottso is Back!!! Once a month on Wednesday Lucky
will ask questions and will give bux for each correct answer.
Big Bux Wednesday! Come play with us on Wednesdays where
bux are given in every tourney hosted by Lucky and Bored. So
give those badges a break and come play with us on Wednesdays.
Sunday Marathon is a great success thanks to our friends.
Every Sunday we will run tours all day in different games. Come
check our calendar and see what’s in store.
3 / 3 Bingo is a 3 round true swiss played on Sunday in
the early evening. You will play the same person for 3 games.
Crazy Points Lottso is where your ending score is added
together to make your final score.
Since our last newsletter, our resident DJ JimboJetSet has
changed his call signs. He is now with TUTT (turn up the tunes)
Radio. You can still catch him on Wednesday and Saturday nights
with the same great voice and music.
Among TUTT’s many great DJ’s they now have a new addition to
their family. Listen to our own Teri (BoredRoomMom) aka DJ
Peaches now on TUTT Radio. Tune in and support a member of our
own family by wishing her lots of luck and don’t forget to
request your favorite songs.
My computer geek friend says “YOU CAN’T EXPECT TO DRIVE A CAR
AND NOT TAKE IT IN FOR MAINTENANCE ONCE IN AWHILE; WELL THE
COMPUTER IS THE SAME WAY”. To keep your computer running smooth,
you need to maintain it on a regular basis. So we decided
that every month we will feature a Computer Tip of the Month.
We’ve explained how to clear Java and how to delete temporary
files. This month I’m going to tell you how to clean out the
junk in your registry and in your start up programs. My friend
had a problem getting into any pogo games so after searching and
testing I have found this program to be the best. She hasn’t had
a problem since. It’s free and comes highly recommended by a
bunch of computer geeks.
• Go to
http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/.
• Download the latest version of CCleaner. You’ll find it on the
top right. Note that you never have to save the exe file on your
computer just click run and it will install it on your computer.
• Double click the link on your desktop to start the program
• Click Analyze
• Click Run Cleaner
• Click the Application tab
• Click Analyze
• Click Run Cleaner
• Click Registry button on the left side
• Click Scan for Issues
• Click Fix selected Issues
The Tools button allows you to uninstall programs. The Startup
button allows you to disable programs you don’t want to run when
your computer starts up. Be cautious with this tool. Only
disable what you know about and don’t need running. Google the
name of a program to see what it does you just might not need

Hearty Beef n Cheese Pie (Meat Pie)

1 ¼ lbs Ground Beef
8 oz can Pastorelli Pizza Sauce
4 oz can Mushrooms
8 oz can Cut Green Beans
2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 Egg (slightly beaten)
¼ tsp Garlic Powder
¼ tsp Salt
8 oz can Pillsbury Crescent Dinner Rolls
1/3 cup Chopped Onion (optional)
¼ cup Chopped Green Pepper (optional)
• Preheat oven to 375. In a large fry pan brown ground beef,
onion, and green pepper. Drain fat. Stir in mushrooms, green
beans, spices, and pizza sauce. Simmer.
• Prepare Crust. Separate crescent rolls into 8 triangles. Place
triangles in an ungreased 9 inch pie pan. Press over the bottom
and up the sides to form crust. Combine egg and 1 cup of cheese
and spread over crust. Spoon hot meat mixture into crust.
Sprinkle remaining cheese on the top.
• Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. For easier serving, let stand for 5
or 10 minutes before cutting into wedges.
This meat pie freezes well and heats easy in the microwave.
