Happy 2010 TrueGoldFriends!
We hope everyone had a fun filled and safe holiday. A new year
brings new things to TGF. New friends, new twists and of course
old friends. We’d like to WELCOME all new members to our
league. Thank you for joining. Check out our Newbie Help section
on our main page. Old members are invited to take a look at it
also. We hope to make your league experience an enjoyable one.
We welcome any feedback, suggestions, or request at any time.

As some of you know we have lost a valuable friend and a member
of our staff. TERI (Boredroommom) has decided to move on.
Her move wasn’t caused by any of her friends, it was just
something she chose to do and she knows she will always have
home here. She hopes her many friends here will keep in touch
and listen to her rock on 106themix.
Congrats to our very own REGINA (DJ Cleo) on joining the
TUTT RADIO STAFF. Keep tuned in to listen to our favorite
friends JIMBOJETSET and DEMONIC ANGEL entertain
us. Don’t forget to request your favorite song while you are
there. If they don’t have it, they will get it for you. It’s
good to have friends in high places. LOL!
TGF’s first 24 HOUR TOURNAMENT was a huge success. We’ve
had some great feedback and have decided to do this again. WTG
BREND105 on winning our first one. Thank you all for your
participation it was a lot of fun.
Last month’s Club Pogo give-a-way was also a huge success. WTG
to LAMAR, KLTHOME, and BREND105 on winning! Great Job
all! Thanks again for playing with us every day.

Have you checked out Pogo’s Chat Forum? There’s a thread talking
about Leagues, mostly how non-leaguers hate leagues. I found it
pretty interesting and learned exactly what it is that bothers
non-leaguers about us. They don’t like the scrolling text with
spam nor do they like the beating hearts or the word hun or
caps. Well I don’t know about the beating hearts but
occasionally we will refrain from using caps or running our ads
to try to please the regulars in the room. We have decided long
ago to shorten our rules. We are just giving you the basics and
running rules when there’s a new person in our tours. If at any
time you would like us to run rules, just yell and as host we
are glad to run them for you. Even though we shortened our rules
during tourney time, we still have the full set of rules listed
on our main page and our tourney pages for all to see.
A lot have had bad experiences with the leagues that give us all
a bad name. They tell people to leave to make room for leaguers
and I’m happy to say we are not like that and proud that we have
the best members ever. Thank you for that. It’s you that make
hosting a joy.
COMPUTER TIP OF THE MONTH!
Recently, a couple of us have encountered a problem with Windows
Update. I kept getting that annoying pop up that said update
available and when I tried to run update it failed. This went on
for about 3 weeks and I was really getting annoyed so I Google
the error message and found several solutions. Most of them were
complicated solutions and decided to continue to search until I
found one that was easy and uses the tools I have.
After I cleaned the normal stuff, I ran all my scans including
Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware software. Then after reading all the
solutions for this problem I tried another one they recommended
which was using CCLEANER. This program cleans out your
registry and many other things on your computer. It’s safe and
free to use. This program will also help speed up your computer
and help some of the problems you might have with pogo.
After all is done then go to the Microsoft website and search
for the update you are having problems with and download it
directly from there. When this is all done the little update
notification will disappear.

RECIPE OF THE MONTH!
PEANUT BUTTER SNOWBALLS

Ingredients:
2 Cup Confectioners Sugar
½ Cup Peanut Butter
3 Tablespoons Butter (Softened)
1 Pound of White Confectionary Coating
In a mixing bowl combine Sugar, Peanut Butter, and Butter. Mix
well. Shape into 1” balls and place on a wax paper lined cookie
sheet. Chill for several hours.
Melt the white coating in a double boiler or a microwave safe
bowl. Dip balls and place on waxed paper to harden. Makes 2
dozen. Can also be dipped in chocolate coating. These are great
for a winter treat or any holiday party. Enjoy!
We are looking for reliable host that are willing to host for
one league and to help build and focus on your friends within.
If you can host 2 - 5 times a week, then we need you.
No experience necessary, we will train. Come give us a try you
won’t be sorry you did. The pay sucks but the benefits are
priceless.
When you are ready to apply, just click on the tournaments tab
then click on TD application to apply. If you have any questions
just contact an Admin and we’ll be glad to help.
Please check our calendar often, there’s always last minute
tourneys added. To live by Cases / MyLeague rules, we need to
host every game at least once a week so we ask that you help us
keep our league alive and well by keeping active (playing at
least once every 3 weeks). Also if there’s a game you want to
play, just yell at us and we’ll be glad to host one for you.
Make sure we have you on yahoo and if we don’t, add me and I’ll
share with all the other hosts.
Come join us on Friday, January 15th we’ll be holding our first
league vs league with our friends at The Stargazers. We’ll be
meeting in Hog Heaven Slots / Teens / Members Temp Room 250 at
10:30. Hope to see everyone there it will prove to be lots of
fun.
