Hi Friends,
We hope everyone’s summers going well. Enjoy while you can as
Labor Day is right around the corner and that means the
beginning of Football Season! And for me it means the beginning
of another wonderful winter here in the Midwest. Ewwwwww!
Congratulations to Brend105 on becoming a Hostess with the
Mostess. Brenda has been a dedicated member for over a year now
and we are happy she decided to join our staff. Please come and
support her and have tons of fun.
Wvhjb44, one of our long time members, is raising money for
Jerry’s Kids and MDA. If you would like to help by making a

Unfortunately, I was very late getting this out and I really
apologize because real life just got in the way, the deadline

Now for the fun stuff… It’s “Pickem Football” time! Come join us
for lots of fun and prizes. This year there is one catch. We ask
that you be an active member in our family. Active means you
need to play in at least one tourney every 3 weeks. Of course
like everything else there are exceptions to every rule. As my
boss use to say “rules are made to be broken”. So if you’ve been
on leave for any reason, you may still play.
Thank you Tex for all your hard work. You are very much
appreciated for providing us with so much fun. Following are
step by step instructions for joining football.
Rules for 2008 NFL Pick em Tour

1. Go to Yahoo Sports to Register
http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/pickem
2. Click on Join Group
3. Click on Join Existing Group
4. Select Join a Private Group
5. Group ID# is 4650
6. Group Password is tgf
7. Our League name will be True Gold Friends
8. You must register with your League name so that I know who
you are. Example:texasdreamer1
9. This will be a 17 week tour. So if you register you need to
be committed.
10. You can PICK your picks early. Do not wait till last minute
in case something happens and you have to leave town, etc. I
have fixed it to where I can not change anyone’s picks. So it is
your responsibility to make them.
11. The deadline to submit your final picks is five (5) minutes
before the start of the first game of the week. For almost all
weeks, this will be 9:55 a.m. PT on Sunday, but will change if
there are Thursday or Saturday games.
The first game starts, September 4th, 2008. So hurry and join so
that you’re not behind.
12. You will pick for every game.
13. I will assign you an opponent through email every week.
14. I will call wins and losses through email every week.
15. I will be responsible for posting your losses each week.
16. I will give one gift away to the person with the most wins
out of entire group every week.
17. In the event of a tie:
Closest to the total points for Monday night's game
Closest to the home team points for Monday night's game
Closest to the road team points for Monday night's game
Closest to the total points for Sunday night's game
Closest to the home team points for Sunday night's game
Closest to the road team points for Sunday night's game
Closest to the city whose team scores the most points
Closest to the city whose team scores the fewest points
18. Whichever user had more points in the previous week (or the
week before that if still tied, etc.). YAHOO WILL FIGURE THIS
FOR ME.
19. There may be a few weeks that there will be more than
one winner. Yahoo determines winners not I.
20. You must send your home mailing address to me ASAP at
texasdreamer1@suddenlink.net This is so I can snail mail
gifts out in a prompt timely fashion. Everyone is responsible
for sending me their home snail mail address; even if you have
sent it in the past. I will put it in a folder marked
especially for this tour and it will make it easier on me.
21. The person with the most wins at the end of the tour will
get $100 in CASH. This is provided they are still in the
league and still in the tour and not on suspension. In the event
of a tie. The $100 in cash will be split.
22. If for any reason you have a dispute, please contact myself.
I will try to fix the problem as soon as possible.
Some of the gifts in the past that I have given (candles,
walmart gift certificates, Home Interior decorations, Sonic gift
cards, McDonald Gift Cards, Big BUX, and football gifts)
This has proven to be a fun tour for football fans in the
