>>>Hi Friends,
I sincerely apologize to you all for the lateness of this Newsletter. Sometimes real life just keeps getting in the way of all the cool things I like to do. I never sent out the Summer Contest Results. So I will do that in this newsletter and also tell you about a couple other fun things we have in mind.
Welcome all new members to our fun league. We are going strong and having tons of fun with our great friends. If we can help you in any way at all, contact any staff member and we'll be very happy to help whenever we can. We realize you have a choice in leagues and appreciate each and every one of you for being a part of our everyday lives.
First we have the summer results that ended in September. Since I was tied up for so long, Dee took care of gifting for me. A big thank you and an even bigger hug to Dee (MSD) for your help in this. I don't know what I would have done these last couple months without you.
This contest was for the friend or friends who played the most for that month. Thanks so much for helping keeping us going during most leagues slow time.

4th Place - Mix n Match - WTG Chuz and Legend tied with 41

SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY!
Sunday December 9th starts Blackninja's very first 7 Day Marathon! This also happens to be her first token count tourney so be patient and have some fun. The rules are twisted! Chris will explain that in her first pogo mail. LOL!
Rules are very simple. You just do what you normally do, play in pogo anywhere, anytime you wish. Token counts will be taken every night around 11:30 pm. Make sure you have your profiles open to Blackninja_49 so she can get your counts. Chris will send you an email with pairs, results, etc. Gifts will be given in every round. You have to join to find out what they are.
As always, we ask that you be fair to all and not park yourself in Trivia or Crossword Cove for more than 10 minutes or you might get DQ'd for that round.
Marathon link is http://plus3.igl.net/tourney/goldrush/1629979/. Good Luck to All!
Our last Marathon was our first Team Marathon and I'm sorry to say it will be the last. Our group is much too competitive for this type of tournament. I've had many complaints about not being fair. I'm so very sorry I didn't look at it that way. I looked at it like a game that was supposed to be fun regardless of winners or non winners. Our non winners always come out to be winners. We had tons of ties so everyone who played ended up getting a mix n match at the very least. Thanks to all of you who did end up enjoying this marathon.
NEW! NEW! NEW!
This year we want to try something different for the holiday. It's called a Secret Santa. If you wish to participate, send me (LuckyStaar) a pogo message. The deadline for this is Saturday, December 15th. I will then send you a name and you may gift that person a Pogo Mini Item using your useless tokens or if you want you can use gems to purchase other items from Mini items to Mix n Match Badges. You can also gift bux if you are a Premium Member. It's up to you, this is just for fun.
Our Football fun seems to be going well. Once I get caught up on everything I will announce winners and gifts etc.
TGF prayer thoughts and prayer list is busy these days. We wish everyone a speedy recovery. We miss you and hope you come back to us soon.
Congrats to Mindy (ML) on the birth of her healthy little girl. She couldn't wait to meet her new family so she made an early delivery on December 4th (the day after ML's birthday) Her name is Alayna Jane and weighed 8 lbs 9 oz and is 20 inches long.
A Special Note from Kim (LuckyStaar) . . .
In September my father found out that his cancer came back and spread to his liver and his brain. He chose to keep this a secret from his family until his doctor decided to share this information with us including the part that he has only 6 months to live. Well after some urging on my part, my father shared this information with us in the beginning of October. I spent all the time I could with my father and watched him refuse to eat and drink and losing weight. Trying everything I could think of. I believe he wanted to make his family happy by going through chemo treatment on November 7th. Evidently, that didn't work and he passed away exactly a week later. He passed on my birthday for which I feel honored and special because I was very close to my dad. I am grateful he didn't suffer long and he wasn't in any pain. We were all with him when he passed and my family from out of state got to say their goodbyes by phone.
Thank you all for the lovely flowers, cards, condolences, thoughts, and prayers. Having friends and family like you, means so much to me. Hopefully, I'll be back in the swing of things full force soon. I've been spending all my free time with my Mother. Also, I want to give special hugs and thank you to all who kept our great league going. I really can retire now. LOL!
We will not be closing down for the holidays. We will be running a few special tours. So if you are going to be around, come let us know.
The Staff of TrueGoldFriends wishes everyone a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays.
